"SFT Group" started its history as a team of managers of "Baikal Pulp and Paper Mill" which has successfully solved a problerm of enterprise's sirvival in new economic conditions and reinforcing pressure from the direction of russian and international ecological organizations.

In 1992 year in according with decisions of USSR  government  in Russia started the privatization of state enterprises. Baikal Pulp and Paper Mill was changed to the public corporation  «BPPM». The public corporation «BPPM» received the export licence with the right of independent carrying out of foreign-economic activity. It was the first time in the history the mill began export supplies of production.

1992 year - The government of Gaidar decided Baikal Pulp and Puper Mill to reshape and set the definite date of reshaping end.

1993 year – The State didn't order pulp. To provide a survival were developed new kinds of production: sulfate bleached and not bleached pulp.        

                                                                                                  
1994 year – Baikal Pulp and Paper Mill was the first among russian enterprises that self-dependent entered the China and other contries South-East Asia market with its production.                      

                                                                                                                                                                  
1995 year – Without supporting from the State U.N.O. was interested to carry out independent examination of ecological state in Baikal Pulp and Paper Mill.
Conclusion: the damage of ecology is minimum, sewage-purification facilities are the best in the world. It was showed to the russian government.

1996 year – The mill was stably working. All forces were directed to creating of program to reshape the enreprise and achievement of economical stability.

1997 year – The team of managers decided to consolidate the main share holding of open corporation Baikal Pulp and Paper Mill.

1998 year – The default and the impulse for economical growth.    

                               
1999 year – The State entered the share holding of 49% of oper corporation Baikal Pulp and Paper Mill to the register of enterprises of stratigical meaning. The shares were prohibited to privatize. 

2000 year – The majority share holding of the open corporation "BPPM" at the rate 50,4 %.  The majority shareholders made a strategical decision about creating holding of pulp enterprises producing kraft pulp. The majority share holding of open corporation «Pulp factory «Pitkyaranta».

2001 year – The leasing company "TransLeasingCom" was established in Irkutsk, was founded trade company, first appeared the abbreviation «SFT».  The activity was carried out with the international financial corporation IFC aimed at getting credit for creating closed water rotation in the open corporation "Baikal PPM".

2002 year – The conract was prepared to sign with IFC. June 2002 – under pressure of outward circumstances the majority share holding was bought to structures of «base element». The future managing backbone "SFT Group" moved the center of business to Moscow. A working at new developing strategy was working at. The course of business was determined: package materials and products from mackle-paper row.

2003 year - The majority share holding of the open corporation "Kamenskaya Paper Cardboard factory" was bought.

2004 year – The trade company "SFT Group" was founded. The decision about creating of "SFT Group" was made.

2005 year – The managing company "SFT management" was established. "Aleksinskaya Paper Cardboard factory" was bought.

2006 year – The company "YUVI SPb" was bought. It's an enterprise of collection and remaking of mackle-paper. The company "SFT Group" created the complete cycle of vertical integration. 

2007 year – The factory "Kartontara" was bought in Maikop. The turnover of "SFT Group" amounted to the level of 4 milliards roubles a year.

2008 year – The modernisation of "Kamenskaya Paper Cardboard Factory" was finished  in the production of corrugating cardboard and also the modernisation of "Kartontara" in cardboard corrugator, that allowed to increase greatly productive capacity. The share holding of the open corporation "Pulp factory "Pitkyaranta" was sold.
